Registration (Portland, ME)
Registration 5-7pm (Portland Ferry Terminal).
Day 1 (Portland to Yarmouth)
Registration Re-Opens 6-7 am (Portland Ferry Terminal). Food is available
on board the ferry, we depart for Yarmouth at 8 am and arrive 1-2 pm Atlantic time.
Day 2 (Yarmouth to Barrington)
54 or 74 miles / Saturdays route follows the Lighthouse Trail along the beautiful
south shore. Fleets of fishing boats fill the harbors and the natural beauty of the seacoast
makes you glad to be alive. Barrington has several interesting museums to explore. Tonight
is our lobster bake!
Day 3 (Barrington to Liverpool)
65 miles / Sunday’s ride takes us through Shelborne, a great place to stop for
lunch and stroll the historic harborside. Then it’s on to Liverpool “Port of the Privateers.”
A tour of the Fort Point Lighthouse interpretive park should be on today’s agenda.
Day 4 (Liverpool to Bridgewater)
62 miles / Today’s ride includes a cable ferry across the LaHave River and
a stop in Lunenburg with its colorful, historic waterfront-an outstanding
example of a British colonial settlement.. Then it’s on to famous Mahone
bay with its many fine Canadian artists and craftspeople.
Day 5 (Bridgewater to Middleton)
57 miles / The scenery changes as we cross the province and head for
the north shore. We’ll ride through quiet inland towns enroute to the
town of Middleton.
Day 6 (Middleton to Annapolis Royal)
44 miles / It’s a scenic ride, either through the valley or along the
Fundy shore, to historic Annapolis Royal. There are 150 heritage buildings including
the oldest wooden building in Canada. See the worlds highest tides harnessed for electricity.
Day 7 (Annapolis Royal to Belliveau Cove) Saturday August 8
50 miles / Ride through Bear River, a town on stilts and home of many
craftspeople. Follow the Evangeline Trail past Digby, scallop capital
of the world and visit Gilverts Cove Lighthouse Museum. Days end finds us
Camping on the ocean in the town of Bellivue Cove.
Day 8 (Belliveau Cove to Yarmouth)
50 miles / Travel through charming French speaking Acadian villages
with towering church spires. Take a picture of the world’s smallest drawbridge.
Explore the seaport of Yarmouth. Arrive in Yarmouth in time to board the ferry.
Ferry boards in Yarmouth at 3pm (departs at 4pm Atlantic time) and arrives
at Portland at 8pm Eastern time. Day Cruise Back to Maine! Relax-spot a whale, Enjoy.
